Reading, writing, arithmatic and.............. Taxidermy???

Ah, the beauty of homeschooling!  The ability to learn whatever we want, whenever we want.  We took the kids to Bass Pro Shops the other day.  Bass Pro has excellent wildlife displays- lions, monkeys, elk, moose, deer, etc.  Faith began asking how they make the animals.  I don't have any idea about how they do it!  I only knew they used glass eyeballs! That answer didn't satisfy her so we went to the library, found a juvenile book that tells exactly how they make them.  She's teaching us as she reads each day.  What originally started out as just a place to go to get out of the heat, turned into an educational field trip.  Education doesn't need to be in a classroom.  There is so much our world has to offer, and I love being able to take advantage of that!
